About Panchvati

Manufacturing critical-service valves since 1991.

Since 1991, Panchvati Valves & Flanges Pvt. Ltd. has manufactured critical-service cast and forged steel valves from Nashik, Maharashtra: three decades of valve manufacturing, measured in plants that stayed online. Today we work across two dedicated plants, supported by a head office in Mumbai and project supply into six export markets.

Our position

We build for the duty everyone else quotes around.

A general-purpose valve supplier competes on price. A critical-service manufacturer competes on whether the valve holds. Panchvati was built for the second conversation: sour service, superheated steam, cryogenic transfer, high-differential throttling and abrasive slurry.

That focus shapes practical decisions. Bodies and bonnets are machined on dedicated valve tooling rather than shared job-shop capacity. Trim is stellite faced where the service demands it, not where the price list allows it. Pressure testing happens on our own floor, so a marginal result is corrected rather than negotiated.

It also shapes who we work with. Our clients are refinery and petrochemical operators, EPC contractors, LNG and industrial-gas companies, fertiliser complexes and power utilities: buyers who send drawings and expect an engineer to read them.

Remembering our founder

The standard every valve we make is held to

"Shri Shrinivas Narayan Kanchan (1948 - 2025)"

He arrived in Mumbai from Muloor, Mangalore with nothing except a conviction that Indian engineering could match anyone in the world. In 1991, he put that conviction into steel and founded Panchvati Valves & Flanges in Nashik.

What began as a small machining operation grew under his hands-on leadership into a two-plant manufacturer supplying critical-service valves to refineries, LNG terminals and power plants across six countries. He did not build from a boardroom. He built from the shop floor, inspecting castings, questioning heat numbers, and insisting that a valve leaving Nashik should perform as if his own name were stamped on the body.

  • Rashtriya Nirman Ratan Award from the Government of India, 2022
  • A Make-in-India champion before the phrase existed
  • People first: the team he built remains the company's greatest competitive advantage

His legacy is not a plaque on a wall. It is a quality system that does not take shortcuts, an engineering desk that reads every datasheet before quoting, and a culture where material substitution is treated as a firing offence. Every valve we dispatch carries that inheritance.

Milestones

How the capability was assembled, decade by decade.

1991

Founded in Nashik

Panchvati begins machining valve components for regional process plants, building the metallurgical and machining discipline the company still runs on.

2000s

Full valve manufacturing

Capability widens from components to complete cast and forged steel gate, globe and check valves, with an in-house pressure test bay.

2010s

Certification and export

ISO 9001 certification, IBR approval and PED/CE conformity open the door to European and North American project supply.

Today

Two plants, six export markets

Two MIDC Ambad units, a Mumbai head office, cryogenic capability to -196 °C and more than 1,000 clients served.

Leadership

Continuing the standard, building the future.

Managing Director

Saiprasad Kanchan

Bharat Gaurav Award Recipient

B.E. Mechanical Engineering, MBA in Industrial Management. Saiprasad Kanchan joined Panchvati early in his career and learned the business from the shop floor up, from casting inspection and heat treatment scheduling to export documentation and EPC vendor registration. When his father passed in 2025, he stepped into the Managing Director role with three decades of operational knowledge behind him.

Under his leadership, Panchvati has expanded from a domestic supplier into an exporter serving the United States, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He led the company's PED/CE certification for European market entry, built the cryogenic valve capability that most Indian manufacturers cannot offer, and established direct technical relationships with procurement teams at refineries and EPC houses across six countries.

In recognition of his contribution to Indian manufacturing, he was honoured with the Bharat Gaurav Award, a national distinction for professionals who have elevated India's reputation through exceptional achievement in their field.

"A legacy gives us our foundation, but vision, innovation, and perseverance define the future we build."

Technical Director

Harishchandra Narayan Kanchan

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering | 35 years with Panchvati

Harishchandra Kanchan has been with Panchvati since the day the first machine was commissioned. In 35 years on the manufacturing floor, he has built the institutional knowledge that no manual can replace: which foundry pours the cleanest WCB, how to hold API 600 tolerances on a 48 inch gate body, and what a seat finish looks like when it is ready for hydro test and when it is not.

As Technical Director, he oversees manufacturing, production engineering, process control and inspection across both Nashik plants. His most critical role is managing third-party inspection calls, where his ability to anticipate manufacturing challenges and resolve them before the inspector arrives has built Panchvati's reputation for first-time-right witnessed testing.

When a Bureau Veritas or DNV inspector walks the floor at Ambad, the person answering their questions has been doing exactly that for three and a half decades.

"Engineering excellence is built not only through technology, but through experience, discipline and an uncompromising commitment to quality."

Director

Payal Kanchan

MCA, Sikkim Manipal University | Ex-Capgemini, JPMorgan, First Advantage

Payal Kanchan brings to a manufacturing company what most manufacturing companies lack: technology-native thinking. Before joining Panchvati, she held delivery and operations roles at Capgemini, JPMorgan and First Advantage, working in environments where process discipline and client-centric execution were non-negotiable.

At Panchvati, she leads corporate strategy, digital transformation and brand development. The company's move toward export-grade documentation, structured digital presence and systematic customer engagement is driven by her conviction that Indian manufacturers must compete on professionalism, not just price.

She is positioning Panchvati as a future-ready enterprise where engineering precision meets digital capability, building the systems that will let the company scale to European and North American markets without compromising the hands-on quality culture the founder built.

"Our responsibility extends beyond manufacturing valves. We build trust, engineer reliability, and create lasting partnerships that power critical industries around the world."

How we work

Four commitments that decide every order we accept.

Specification before persuasion

We would rather decline an enquiry than accept a duty our metallurgy cannot honour. Every offer states the code, class and test basis plainly.

Traceability as a habit

Heat numbers, test records and inspection reports are captured as work progresses, not reconstructed at dispatch.

Engineers on the phone

Technical enquiries reach people who have machined, assembled and tested the product, not a call routing tree.

Ownership of the process

Keeping machining, assembly, heat treatment and testing in-house is how we hold schedule when a project timeline compresses.
